Tamara Morgan, Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish, received her Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina, Columbia. Her research examines the search for identity and belonging in the globalized world, specifically how the juxtaposition of time and space affects human connection with surrounding people and places. Her work focuses on 20th- and 21st-century Argentine narrative with an array of interests including space, subjectivity, ecocriticism, flânerie, phantasmagoria, and the fantastic. Dr. Morgan has taught courses at all undergraduate levels, from introductory to advanced, in addition to teaching K-12 and Community College for 17-1/2 years. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Spanish Education from Appalachian State University, as well as a Bachelor’s in Music.
