19th Century Spanish and Spanish-American Narrative
Jessica Shade Venegas’ teaching and research focuses on nineteenth-century Spanish and Spanish-American narrative, with an emphasis on naturalism. She has published articles in Symposium, Revista Hispánica Moderna, and Bulletin of Spanish Studies and is currently working on a book manuscript, tentatively titled Framing the Female: Space and Gender in the Nineteenth-Century Spanish American Novel.
