Dr. Jerid Francom teaches Spanish language, Hispanic linguistics, psycholinguistics, and quantitative text analysis at Wake Forest University. His scholarship uses corpora, computational methods, and psycholinguistic evidence to understand language variation and use across Spanish-speaking communities. He is especially interested in how large, authentic collections of language data (corpora), reproducible research practices, and human-centered LLM workflows can elevate human connections, enhance student learning, and advance research collaboration. His recent work includes a 2025 Routledge textbook on quantitative text analysis with R.
