Professor Ola Furmanek’s translation of Edward J. Edwards “Man from the Mountain” published by Polish Press Verbinum

Dr. Ola Furmanek, Professor of Spanish and Director of the WFU Interpreting and Translation Studies Program, had her Polish translation of Edward J. Edward’s Man From the Mountain published by the prestigious Polish Press Verbinum (October 2022).

Man From The Mountain is a fictionalized biography of a Tyrolean Ladin missionary to China at the turn of the 20th century. Edward J. Edwards was a prolific American author whose adventure novels on Asian-Pacific missions were sold by the thousands in the 1950s and 1960s. One of his books was adapted by MGM Hollywood for a film starring Gregory Peck. Man From The Mountain is Edwards’ first book to be translated into Polish.
