The Department Welcomes Dr. Claudia Cabello for her lecture, “Amistad y colaboración en la carrera de Gabriela Mistral”


On Tuesday, September 27, 2022, the Department of Spanish and the Latin-American and Latino Studies Program welcomed Dr. Claudia Cabello for her lecture, “Amistad y colaboración en la carrera de Gabriela Mistral” (Friendship and Collaboration in the career of Gabriela Mistral). The lecture explored the feminist networks in Mistral’s career.
Dr. Claudia Cabello Hutt is Associate Professor of Spanish at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her teaching interests include Latin American literature and culture, as well as gender and sexuality studies. Along with many articles, she is also the author of Artesana de sí misma: Gabriela Mistral, una intelectual en cuerpo y palabra (Purdue UP, 2018).
